Life Plus was always the vision of one man, Shafi Rahman. While in Bangladesh in 1998, during his university gap year, he had a realisation that he could make a difference. Shafi went to work on small projects which later became the foundations for Life Plus. After much work and deliberation Shafi decided to set up a charity. He worked on putting together funds and creating a team who could work for the charity. Late summer of 2003 saw the establishment of Life Plus.
In 2004 Life Plus started taking on larger projects. Life Plus wanted to make a larger impact on people so decided they would look at helping bigger groups of people. The first project of 2004 was the building of a new adult education centre in the northern region of Bangladesh. This was followed up by aid and support to people affected by the floods. The charity looks set to continue implementing large and successful projects in the future.
